Beautiful humpback, swimming below Gem Silica Chrysocolla. The back of the stone has been left open to allow light in. There is silver dust glistening in the water beneath the majestic mountain peaks.

Sterling silver and copper. Oxidized.

The copper has been sealed to protect the patina finish.

Measures 1 3/4" W x 2 1/8"L.

Hangs up to 24" from a sterling silver chain with handmade clasp.

The length can be adjusted by positioning the clasp anywhere along the chains links.

** This piece was created in memory of  "Lollipop", a beloved 10 year old female humpback. She migrated for 9 years between the Gulf of Maine and the West Indies. She was last seen alive and well in the waters off Cape Cod on June 1, 2024. Sadly, it was reported she had found deceased just a month later, off the coast of Massachusetts. She floated up the coast to Wells, ME, where I live, eventually washing ashore on Strawberry Island in Kennebunk. No necropsy was done. Her cause of her death is unknown. We are losing far too many of these extraordinary creatures to boat strikes, entanglements, plastics and climate change. We humans need to do better. This is for you dear Lollipop.
